We are so pleased to report that KQED has selected Co-founder and Vice Chairman David Lei as one of its Asian Pacific American Heritage Heroes for 2013. David joins 3 other Bay Area Asian Americans in receiving this honor, which recognizes local citizens with a demonstrated commitment to community service and civic leadership.
The award is made each year in May to honor Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. All heroes are celebrated at KQED’s annual celebration on May 1, which also kicks off a month of unique TV and radio programming focused on Asian Pacific American themes and issues. All are invited to attend this celebration and we encourage you to come, say hi to David, and meet the other three accomplished heroes chosen this year! Details on the event are after the jump.
