$1,000 Scholarships for High School Seniors

The Asian Pacific Community Fund and Verizon will award $1,000 to ten high school seniors in California, Oregon, or Washington.


The Asian Pacific Community Fund and Verizon each year offers ten $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors in California, Oregon, or Washington (or those planning to attend college in those states) majoring in math, science, or engineering. These awards support those who excel academically, are leaders amongst their peers, and are making a positive impact in their communities. The scholarship is not limited to people of Asian backgrounds, and has only the following eligibility requirements:

– Students who are residents of California, Oregon or Washington OR students who plan to attend college in one of those states,
– High School seniors who plan to enroll as a 1st year college student in a U.S. accredited 4-year college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking student majoring in math, engineering, or a science in the Fall of 2013,
– Students who have a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0.
