On January 9, the Association for Fundraising Professionals – Canada held a one-day conference in Toronto on Chinese Philanthropy. While there have been several seminars and events around this topic lately, AFP-Canada’s was remarkable in its focus on practical training for its audience, which included fundraisers, non-profit leaders, as well as donors. With panel discussions targeted at these respective audience groups and generous Q&A opportunities during each session, a lot of great information was doled out during the five hour seminar.
If you weren’t lucky enough to attend the sold-out event yourself, AFP-Canada has made recordings available on youtube. We recommend it for anyone interested in Chinese American philanthropy, whether you’re a fundraiser looking to understand Chinese American donors or a non-profit leader curious about the work of your peers up north. Details of the sessions can be found after the jump.
